Maid of Sker is a first-person survival horror game set in a remote hotel steeped in a gruesome history rooted in British folklore. Players navigate this chilling environment, armed only with a defensive sound device, employing stealth to evade death at the hands of sound-based AI enemies. Set in 1898 and inspired by the eerie Welsh tale of Elisabeth Williams, the narrative delves into a family empire marred by torture, slavery, and supernatural mysteries that haunt the hotel grounds. Developed by Wales Interactive, the game features a unique 3D sound-based AI system as its primary survival mechanic, blending psychological, gothic, and British horror elements. With realistic visuals and immersive atmospheres, players will experience the haunting rendition of famous Welsh hymns, including a re-imagined version of “Y Ferch o’r Sger” (The Maid of Sker), enriched by the unsettling voice of Tia Kalmaru.
